SiLENSe Version 5.0 & Version 5.0 Laser Edition has been released. Quantum potential model is developed to account for quantum effects: tunneling current and quantum confinement of the carriers inside the quantum wells. Use of the quantum potential model allows more realistic prediction of the current-voltage characteristics of the p-n junction. Also, the carrier concentration in the quantum wells is predicted more accurately. One can switch on/off use of the quantum potential model in "Global parameters" tab.
